BorderLine 4X4 May Newsletter
Arnie called the meeting to order. Kristi read the Treasury report and Bev read the Secretary Report. Troy made the motion to accept the reports as read. Tim seconded and the motion passed.
Old Business:
Bev talked about the MidWest Convention that occurred the weekend of April 23rd. The highlights are as follows:
1. Iowa is looking at property near Fort Dodge, Iowa for a new 4X4 wheeling park. WI pipeline clean-up took place on May 15th.
2. The Wisconsin State Trail Council was appointed by the governor but no representation for the 4X4 drive or off road motorcycling. All WI clubs are encouraged to write a letter to the governor and their state representatives to state the dislike of the lack of representation on the WI State Trail Council.
3. Newsletters will be sent out electrically from now on. The website will be updated with advertisers. We are asked to click on the links because each click brings money to the to the MidWest 4X4 Association.
4. I am attaching a second page for those who want to read more about the convention.
The Challenge Game meeting was canceled due to the weather. Kristi volunteered to help on the meeting and at the Challenge Games.
Tubing on July 31st was discussed with more information at next meeting.
New Business:
Kristi made a motion to donate $50.00 to Rob’s Party on May 22nd. The motion was seconded by Bill and the motion passed.
There is a possibility for a ride at Pine Bends in June. Watch the website for the date and time.
Arnie mentioned that the July and September meetings will fall on the holiday weekends. A suggestion was made to hold the meetings the following Fridays after the holidays. The July meeting will be held on July 9th and the September meeting on September 10th.
A motion was made by Troy to end the meeting and seconded by Rob.
Remember to keep safety on our minds as we challenge our skills and trucks on the trails.
