Borderline 4X4 TrailSeekers February Newsletter
Arnie called the meeting to order and welcomed our new officers. Treasury and Secretary were read and accepted. The WI 4X4 Association dues were sent in for all paid members.
The ride at Pine Bends was discussed. A few trucks showed up in the brrr cold. They had fun and of course, some breakage.
There were about 80 people at the Christmas Party. A big Thank you goes out to Rob and Jean for hosting the Christmas party. Everyone that showed up had a great time.
Voting on a new member – Gregg Ericson – was tabled because he was not in attendance.
July 24, a tentative date, that has been set for the challenge game between us and Lone Riders. Some such suggestions for the challenges are; Pull contest, Blind folded driver, and a Tug of War. If anyone has a suggestions for this event please bring them to the next meeting.
October 23 was discussed has a tentative date for the Toys for Tots fundraiser ride. On June 12th we might have the ride for Cancer which Kristi suggested we do.
Arnie mentioned that all members will get a discount at the Auto Parts store on West Main Street in Red Wing with their membership cards.
Rob has set May 22nd for the Monster Truck Party and Parade. Rob has also stated that if the weather cooperates and the trails are dried up enough we will do a clean-up in April at the farm. Is everyone ready for a snow drag at Frontenac Farms? Rob has said there will be one this weekend. All club members are invited to the farm on Saturday, February 13 about 10:30 or 11:00. Unfortunately for me, I have to work but I will be thinking of all the fun I will be missing. Remember that the last snow drag the kids of all ages had a blast sliding besides driving in the white stuff.
Troy mad a motion to close the meeting and Cale 2nd.
Happy Trails to all until we meet again. Remember to drive safely.
