BorderLine 4X4 April Newsletter
Arnie called the meeting to order. Bev read the Treasury and Secretary Reports. Troy made the motion to accept the reports as read. Tim seconded and the motion passed.
Old Business:
Brian Hayek was voted in as the 19th member of our club in 2010.
The Cleanup at the farm last weekend was discussed. Rob was kept busy with the chainsaw cutting a new trial. The trail is not completed but Rob says there is one more he wants to make. There will be another cleanup on April 10 following the Highway cleanup.
Arnie stated that he was planning on attending the MidWest Conventionon April 23rd through the 25th. A motion was made and passed to give Arnie and Bev $100.00 towards the expense of the convention.
The Mississippi Shuffle Ride on June 12 was discussed. Anyone having any questions can contact Kristi. The event will be posted on the Website.
New Business:
There will be a Garage Sale for the MSD on the weekend of April 30th thru May 2nd. Things can be dropped off at the Hamilton’s residence on Friday. The WS site is still being looked at, so I will update you with more information when I receive it..People are needed to run the sale, if you can help contact Jon Clemens at (715)307-9530.
There will be a Highway Cleanup on April 10th at 9AM. Please meet at Rob’s between 8:30 and 9:00, we will carpool from there. When we are done with the Highway we will go to the Farm to cleanup the trails.
Darrell mentioned a Swap meet held by the MN 4X4 Association. The meet will be held at the Anoka Fairgrounds. The notice is posted on the website if you want more details.
A tubing party on the Zumbro River was mentioned. The idea was tabled until the next meeting.
Arnie mentioned that the July and September meetings will fall on the holiday weekends. A suggestion was made to hold the meetings the following Fridays after the holidays. The July meeting will be held on July 9th and the September meeting on September 10th.
A motion was made by Troy to end the meeting and seconded by Tim.
Remember to keep safety on our minds as we challenge our skills and trucks on the trails.
